I got this for my almost 3 year old son and he loves it. As other reviewers have said, none of the shelves are large enough for the bigger books. The bottom shelf is the largest and it's just under 11" (about 10 3/4"). A classic Dr. Seuss book is just over 11", so it won't fit on the bookcase unless you lay it down. We have the smaller and normal sized books up the upper shelves and the oversized ones laying down on the bottom. Overall it's a wonderful bookcase for my son. We researched this product and were so pleased to find the good reviews. Unfortunately, ours must have been one too many off the assembly line. Within 24 hours two doors had broken off and by the second week a third. One review stated that these were "real" wood however I should have called the company directly because when the doors rip off you can plainly see they are pressed composite. The hardware that ships with the product is made from such soft metal that the bolts and allen wrench will get stripped before you put together the first chair. Just got KidKraft Lego Compatible 2 in 1 Activity Table

Our 2 1/2 year old loves building with his "big boy" Lego's, so we ordered him this table, but the board is not as Lego compatible as it could be. Our 2 1/2 year old has a hard time sticking his Lego's to this board, but has no problems sticking his Lego's on his Lego brand boards. If you line up the Lego brand boards next to the boards on this table, you'll see that they don't line up exactly the same. The boards this table uses are not that compatible with Lego's, therefor I don't recommend it to the really young ones who don't yet have the strength and control to really push down on the small Lego's.20 of ...
