We purchased this set for our daughter's 7th birthday present, as drawing and coloring are her two favorite activities, and she was bumping her knees on our little ikea table. This is very easy to assemble (about 45 minutes for one person) and is very pretty. It is solid wood, not a laminate. The table and chairs are all totally level, no wobblies here. I could see this being a very useful piece of furniture for tall 5 year olds to shorter 10 year olds, so it has nice dimensions.
